Calculate the volume of a parallelepiped if its base area is 150 cm2 and its height is 2dm.

| First of all, it is necessary to note the formulas that are needed in order to calculate the volume of a rectangular parallelepiped:
V = a * b * c,
V = S main * h,
where V is the volume of the parallelepiped,
a, b, c – measurements of the parallelepiped (its length, width, height),
S main – the area of the base of the parallelepiped,
h is the height of the parallelepiped.
Since by condition S main and h are given, here we need the second formula.
V = S main * h = 150 cm 2 * 2 dm = 150 cm 2 * 20 cm = 3000 (cm 3).
Answer: 3000 cm 3.
