Causes of the American War of Independence (1776-1783):

People’s dissatisfaction with the authorities;
America’s desire for independence from England;
Refusal of the English king to fulfill the conditions of the colonists;
The constant presence of British soldiers on American soil;
Restrictions on trade with Great Britain and popular discontent with such an order.

The conflict ended with a US victory.
