Cults and religions in Africa in an era of change.

In the era of changes before the colonial division of Africa, there was a Voodoo cult on the continent, representing a mixture of original African magic and such religions: totemism (belief in the kinship of souls between people, plants and animals), animism – the existence of fantastic creatures and spirits.

The traditional religion of Africa is considered to be adapted Abrahamic African and syncretic.

The imported religions are Christianity, Islam, Orthodoxy and Catholicism.
