Define the main views of M. Gandhi on the methods of struggle for the independence of India.

Mahatma Gandhi believed that independence should be fought with non-violent methods. For example, not to pay taxes, not to obey the orders of the colonial authorities. He was also of the opinion that independence should be achieved without help from other states. His views are called “satyagraha”.
