Describe the properties of copper.

Copper is an excellent electrical conductor. Most of its use is based on this property, or on the fact that it is also a good heat conductor. However, many of its uses also rely on one or more other properties. For example:

Rust resistance. Copper has a low level of reactivity. This means that it has no tendency to corrode.
Antibacterial. Copper is a natural, hygienic metal that inhibits the growth of microbes.
Easy connectivity. Copper can be easily soldered together.
Plastic. Copper is a ductile metal. This means it can be easily formed into pipes and pulled into wires.
