| Determine the power of the rocket at the end of the acceleration, if the speed reached by it is 8.0 km / s, and the thrust force of the engine is 300 kN.
To find out the power of the presented rocket at the end of acceleration (instantaneous power), we use the formula: Nmg = Ft * Vmg, where Ft is the thrust force of the engine of the presented rocket (Ft = 300 kN = 3 * 10 ^ 5 N); Vmg – the achieved (instantaneous) speed (Vmg = 8 km / s = 8 * 10 ^ 3 m / s).
Let’s perform the calculation: Nmg = Ft * Vmg = 3 * 10 ^ 5 * 8 * 10 ^ 3 = 2.4 * 10 ^ 9 W.
Answer: At the end of the acceleration, the power of the presented rocket was 2.4 GW.
