The main achievement of the ancient world is the invention of the alphabet. Thanks to this, people began to develop faster. It became possible to accumulate knowledge by recording it, and not memorizing it by other people. New directions of development have appeared. The importance of the invention of the alphabet and writing is difficult to overestimate. It is enough to look at the peoples who have poorly developed literacy – how bad things are with them in all other spheres of life and development.
