Two straight lines are given given by the formulas:

Also, the equation has a free term – one that does not contain a variable. It affects the position of the graph on the DT axis. They are just different.

There is a rule if the coefficients are the same, but the free terms are different, then the straight lines are parallel. Consistency never intersect.
