| From the vertex of the right angle MOK, two beams OP and ON are drawn so that the angle MON = 64 degrees, the angle POK = 57 degrees. Calculate the PON angle
Given:
angle MOK = 90 degrees,
beam ON divides the angle of the IOC into two angles MON and NOK,
angle MON = 64 degrees,
angle POK = 57 degrees.
Find the value of the angle PON -?
Solution:
Consider the IOC angle. Since the ON beam divides the MOC angle into two angles MON and NOK, then the MOC angle = MON angle + NOK angle.
Angle NOK = angle MOK – angle MON;
angle NOK = 90 – 64;
angle NOK = 26 degrees.
PON angle = NOK angle + POK angle;
angle PON = 26 + 57;
angle PON = 83 degrees.
Answer: 83 degrees.
