From two cities, the distance between which is 560 km, two cars drove towards each other at the same time and met in 4 hours. One car was traveling at a speed of 80 km / h. How fast was the other car going?

1. Let’s calculate which way the first car traveled before the meeting, multiplying its speed by the time after which the cars met after departure:
80 * 4 = 320 km.
2. Let’s calculate which way the second car traveled, subtracting from the distance between the cities the path that the first car drove:
560 – 320 = 240 km.
3. If the second car traveled 240 km before the meeting, we find its speed by dividing this distance by 4 hours:
240/4 = 60 km / h.
Answer: the second car was moving at a speed of 60 km / h.
