How and what do mushrooms breathe?

The world of mushrooms is so diverse and vast that scientists will study it for a long time, making new discoveries. First of all, it is worth dividing mushrooms: into aerobes, for which oxygen is vital and anaerobes, for which it is unnecessary, and for some species it is destructive. We are interested in aerobes (caps, woody, etc.) These mushrooms breathe both the fruiting body (capophorus) and the mycelium itself. The only difference is that in some species respiration through the fruiting body prevails, while in others it is complex. We can conditionally say that the mushroom breathes entirely.
