How are monkeys adapted to life in trees?

To live in trees, monkeys must be good at climbing. Therefore, their limbs are very flexible, with a well-developed grasping function, and the thumb is opposed to everything else. In addition to grasping, the surface must be touched; for this, there are fleshy pads on the fingers with a large number of nerve endings. Also, monkeys learned to swing in order to jump from branch to branch, and in some species the tail also acquired a grasping function. Their visual and support systems are also adapted to the life of monkeys in trees. The eyes are capable of covering a large field of vision, and the nervous system can analyze distances using a developed brain.
