How deep do unicellular algae and green algae live?

Algae are unicellular and multicellular. They live not only in the water column, but also on surfaces (on the surface of the water, wet stones, trees), leading an attachment way of life. Green algae are found at a depth of 50 m. This is a permissible depth, because below, sunlight is weak or does not penetrate at all. But red algae, on the contrary, they can live at a depth of 100-200 m, there are also other species that can live at a depth of 500 m.

Example: algae Bagryanka. Representatives of green, yellow-green color live at a depth of at least 50 m, and representatives of a pink shade – red are at a depth of 200 m.
