How did the Slavs differ from the Europeans?

Unlike the Europeans, who lived in a fairly compact territory, the Slavic tribes settled over great distances. As a result, three branches of the Slavs were formed: southern, eastern and western. Each of the branches has developed its own culture, linguistic differences have appeared. Also, unlike the Europeans, the Slavs lived in closer contact with nature, which was reflected in their beliefs and traditional occupations. While in Europe the urban population was the majority, in the Slavic countries, agriculture was preferred.
