How is a body charged if it acquired electrons in the course of electrification?

An electron is a particle that has a negative charge. A proton is a positively charged particle. In the normal state, the atoms of any body have a neutral charge, that is, the number of protons in them is equal to the number of electrons. Thus, if a neutrally charged body has acquired electrons, its charge will be negative.
