How was trade carried out in Ancient Egypt?

Trade was carried out along the Nile, as well as in caravans. The cargo was carried by porters, horse breeding in Egypt was poorly developed, except for the period after the wars with Assyria, that is, the 1st millennium BC. Also, the Egyptians traded on sea vessels. They sailed along the Red Sea to the state of Punt in the territory of modern Eritrea and Somalia. From other countries, the Egyptians brought plants, pigeons, wood (from Lebanon) and minerals such as gold from Nubia.
