The first revolution happened in the Netherlands, its reasons were religious (Reformation) and economic (rapid economic growth in the second half of the 16th century in Holland). The reasons for the 17th century revolution in England were economic (the clash of interests of the feudal class and industrialists), political (the struggle of parliament against absolutism), religious (the split into Independents and Presbyterians, the former were against any church hierarchy).

Causes of the revolution in France in the 18th century: incapacitated government, political and socio-economic changes (the flow of British goods to the French market and lean years).
