Find half of the base of an isosceles triangle according to the Pythagorean theorem as the square root of the difference between the square of the hypotenuse and the square of the leg.

1/2 * AC = √ (25 ^ 2 – 24 ^ 2) = √ (625 – 576) = √49 = 7 cm.

AC = 2 * 7 = 14 cm.

Answer: the length of the base of the AC = 14 cm.
