Let’s write down the function: cos A = AC / AB = 0.6; sin A = BC / AB. Find sin A = √ (1 – cos ^ 2 A) = √ (1 – 0.6 ^ 2) = √ (1 – 0.36) = √0.64) = 0.8.
BC / AB = 0.8; 12 / AB = 0.8; AB = 12 / 0.8 = 15.
