Supplement the schemes of the reaction equations: a) H2SO4 + BaCl2- b) FeCl3 + AgNO3 – c) Ba (OH) 2 + Ma2CO3-
a) The reaction takes place between substances such as sulfuric acid and barium chloride salt. As a result of the reaction, substances are formed: barium sulfate salt and hydrochloric acid. This is an exchange reaction. The molecular equation of the reaction can be written as follows:
H2SO4 + BaCl2 = BaSО4 + 2 HCl
The ionic reaction equation can be written as follows:
2 H + + SO4 2- + Ba 2+ + 2 Cl – = BaSО4 + 2 H + + 2 Cl-
b) A chemical reaction takes place between the ferric chloride salt and the silver nitrate. As a result of this interaction, an iron nitrate salt and a silver chloride salt are formed, which precipitates and is insoluble in water. Graphically, this equation of a chemical reaction can be expressed as follows:
FeCl3 + 3AgNO3 = Fe (NO3) 3 + 3 AgCl
The ionic reaction equation can be written as follows:
Fe 3+ + 3 Cl – + 3 Ag + + 3 NO – = Fe 3+ + 3 NO3 – + 3 AgCl
c) Barium hydroxide and sodium carbonate salt react chemically to form barium carbonate salt and sodium hydroxide. This is an exchange reaction. The molecular equation of the reaction can be written as follows:
Ba (OH) 2 + Na2CO3 = BaCO3 + 2 NaOH
The ionic reaction equation can be written as follows:
Ba 2+ + 2 OH – + 2 Na + + CO3 2- = BaCO3 + 2 Na + + 2 OH-
