To find the required inductance of the used coil, we will use the formula: Wm = L * I ^ 2/2 and L = 2Wm / I2.
The values of the variables: W is the energy of the magnetic field of the current (W = 0.2 J); I – current strength (I = 400 A = 0.4 A).
Let’s make a calculation: L = 2Wm / I ^ 2 = 2 * 0.2 / 0.4 ^ 2 = 2.5 G.
Answer: The inductance of the used coil is 2.5 H.
