| The radius of the circle is 60 m. Find the circumference to the nearest millimeter. Find the length of the arc corresponding to the 90 degree angle
The length of a circle can be calculated using the formula:
L = 2ПR, where L is the circumference, П is the number of Pi, R is the radius of the circle.
П = 3.14;
L = 2 * 3.14 * 60mm = 376.8mm.
You can notice that the circle corresponds to 3600, and 900 is 1/4 of 3600, which means that the length of the arc corresponding to the angle 900 will be L * 1/4 = 376.8 * 1/4 = 94.2 mm.
