In order to find the area of a triangle, we will apply the following formula:
S = 1/2 * a * ha.
The area of a triangle is equal to half the product of the base and the height dropped on this side.
Let’s start by calculating the length of the height:
3 * 4 = 12 cm.
It remains only to substitute the values into the formula and perform calculations:
S = 1/2 * 3 * 12 = 18 cm ^ 2 the area of this triangle.
