The required distance, which will be between 2 motorcyclists after 3 hours of movement, will be denoted by the conditional variable “X”.
At the second stage, taking into account the example data and using the speed formula, we make the equation: X = 500 – 3 x (65 + 70).
As a result of solving this equation, we get X = 500 – 3 x 135 = 500 – 405 = 95 kilometers.
