In the animal cell, there are no special organelles that could produce their own organic matter. Basically, for the digestion process, the animal cell uses mitochondria, which are the energy center of the cell and convert glucose and oxygen received from the outside into energy ATP and lysosomes, which break down substances that enter the cell. With all this, the synthesis of organic substances does not occur, which means that animals need to be provided with ready-made organic substances, they can subsequently be split into simpler ones or converted into their own.
