What animals are found in Antarctica?

Due to its harsh cold climate, Antarctica is home to very few animals. All species living on this continent feed in the ocean and do not live permanently on land. Typical Antarctic animals include penguins (Adele and Emperor), petrels, Arctic terns, skuas, etc. There are also chinstrap and subantarctic penguins on the Antarctic Peninsula. Several species of seals can be found among mammals, such as crabeater seal, leopard seal, elephant seal, Ross seals, etc.
