What are the features of land relations in the Old Russian state?

For the Eastern Slavs, agriculture was the main occupation. Labor-intensive work had to be completed on time, and this required a large number of people. People united by a common territory formed communities. Arable land was public property and was divided among families. But after the princes transferred the right to land to the feudal lords, part of the communities became under their rule, and the land became property. Another part of the communities was obliged to pay the state to file (tax).
