What are the features of the religious beliefs of primitive people in comparison with modern religions?
Religious beliefs are based on inadequate conclusions about occurring phenomena and objects. Naturally, primitive man could not objectively explain such a terrifying phenomenon as a thunderstorm. The man was afraid and panicked. He could not prevent these phenomena. It is quite obvious that thunder and lightning could be identified with some powerful creature that walks “in the heavens”, thunders and spews out lightning. Already at that time, the first ministers of the cult were born, who were smarter than others. They realized that this could be profitable and began to interpret what was happening in a favorable light to them. All ancient beliefs have many gods. Each was in charge of a certain area of life, force or phenomenon. Modern religions recognize one god.
