What are the types of friction?

There are three types of friction: sliding friction, static friction, and rolling friction.
1) Sliding friction is the force that occurs when two bodies come into contact and their relative motion (Example: a body is dragged along a surface).
2) Friction at rest is a force that arises between two bodies and prevents the occurrence of relative motion (Example: the body is in one place).
3) Rolling friction is the force that occurs when one body rolls over the surface of another (Example: a body is rolling over a surface).
