Crete.
Here people were mainly engaged in fishing, trade and navigation. There was a strong navy, so the Cretans did not need walls.
Mycenae.
Cattle breeding and gardening developed here. Natural conditions also favored the development of trade and navigation. Mycenae was protected by thick ramparts to defend against Cretan pirates.
