The reasons boiled down to the struggle for power between the feudal lords and the clergy, long wars, the destruction of the old type of economy and the Reformation. The significance of the Hussite movement in Europe is associated with the Reformation, for example, radical Hussites rejected the Church, following only the Holy Scriptures, and moderate Hussites (“chasniks”) demanded reforms from the Church. The result of the movement was the existence in the Czech Republic of both Catholics and Chalice.
