Mount Elbrus is located in the Caucasus. Glaciers on its cap give rise to many rivers, including the Kuban, Terskol, Garabashi, Subashi, Irik. Nearby are the settlements Tyrnyauz, Verkhniy Baksan, Mestia, Khurzuk, Uchkulan. Not far from Elbrus is the state border between Russia and Georgia.
