What is the difference between parts of the world and continents?

Parts of the world are: Asia, America, Africa, Antarctica, Europe, Australia and Oceania. For example, on one continent of Eurasia there are two parts of the world: Asia and Europe. On the other hand, the continents of South and North America form one part of the world, which is America.
