What is the difference between Proteus amoeba and dysentery amoeba?

Amoeba proteus is the simplest animal. Amoebas move with the help of special outgrowths-protrusions – pseudopods (pseudopodia). These outgrowths are not permanent. Food and drink in amoebas occurs by phagocytosis and pinocytosis, respectively. Reproduction of this animal occurs very primitively – by division. Dysentery amoeba is a parasitic organism that can cause amoebiasis. The habitat of this amoeba is the intestines of humans and some chordates.
The main differences between these types of amoeba are that the Proteus amoeba is not a parasite and is much larger in size than the dysentery amoeba.
