What is the estate monarchy in France?

Estates-representative monarchy is a form of government when the power of the king is limited by estates-representative bodies. So for a long period of time, the power of kings in the Middle Ages was absolute. But this was not beneficial to everyone. Thus, gradually the royal power began to be oppressed, representative bodies arose that limited the king. Nevertheless, already in modern times, there was a new surge of absolutism, which was then replaced by a constitutional monarchy.
