The circulation of substances on Earth is a set of constantly repeating processes of movement and transformation of substances. All living organisms take part in the cycle. Plants – form organic matter and oxygen, absorb carbon dioxide. Animals – use these organic substances, emit carbon dioxide. Bacteria – decompose complex substances (mineralization of organic compounds) that are used by plants. Therefore, bacteria are an important link in the cycle of substances.
