What processes take place in plant cells?

Photosynthesis. Plant cells receive energy through photosynthesis. This process uses solar energy to convert carbon dioxide and water into energy in the form of carbohydrates.

Chloroplasts are organelles in which the reaction of photosynthesis takes place.

Photo systems. Inside chloroplasts, chemical energy from the sun is absorbed by pigment molecules that are located in groups called photosystems.

Breath. The energy collected in chloroplasts is used during cellular respiration.
