What types of clouds do you know and how do they differ?

Clouds are the result of condensation of water vapor at a certain height from the Earth’s surface. The main constituents of clouds are water droplets and ice crystals. Depending on what prevails, the clouds are watery, icy or mixed.
Depending on the shape of the clouds, there are:
– feathery (light and transparent, look like fibers or threads, no precipitation falls out of them);
– stratus and stratified rain (powerful, low-lying, dark in color, they receive prolonged rains, snow);
– cumulus and cumulonimbus (they can grow to a height of more than 4000m, from such clouds there are showers).
