What was the main advantage of the ancient Greek alphabet over the Phoenician one?

The advantage was that the ancient Greek alphabet had vowels. The Greek alphabet itself was the same Phoenician alphabet. That is, the Greeks borrowed the alphabet from the Phoenicians at one time. Then they improved it. Since the Phoenician alphabet did not have vowels, the Greeks were able to eliminate this significant drawback. Ultimately, almost all European states began to use this alphabet.
