What were the main joys and main griefs of the medieval peasants?

Medieval peasants did not have freedom and many rights. One of their tasks was the development of agriculture. They were happy to harvest after a fertile year in which rain and sun alternated and allowed more crops to be grown. They also enjoyed preparing for the winter and eating on holidays, because during normal times the abundance of food was not consumed. They could be upset: a lean season, high fees of the feudal lord and the state, hungry years, oppression by the landowner.
