| When a body moves along the Ox axis, its coordinate depends on time according to the law x (t) = 60-15t, find the path traversed by the body in 6 s.
Given:
x (t) = 60 – 15 * t – the equation of body motion;

It is required to determine S (meter) – the path traveled by the body during the time interval t.
Let’s find the initial coordinate of the body (at t = 0):
x0 = 60 – 15 * 0 = 60 – 0 = 60 meters.
Let’s find the coordinate of the body after a time interval t:
x1 = 60 – 15 * 6 = 60 – 90 = -30 meters.
Then the distance traveled will be equal to:
S = x0 – x1 = 60 – (-30) = 60 + 30 = 90 meters.
Answer: in a time interval of 6 seconds, the body will cover a distance of 90 meters.
