The filling of the well depends on the amount of groundwater. In the spring, after the snow melts, the groundwater is overflowing, so a lot of water flows into the well. In summer, when there is little atmospheric precipitation, the amount of groundwater decreases, and the well becomes shallow. The conclusion follows from this: in the spring the well is the most filled, in the summer it is shallow.
