Which mountains are the youngest in age in Africa?

Africa is a continent with a fairly flat relief, there are few mountain peaks. The youngest of these are the Rwenzori Mountains, Virunga Mountains and other peaks along the East African Rift, which are only about thirty-five million years old. In many of these mountains, volcanoes are still active and the mountain building process is not over. There is an increased seismic and volcanic hazard. Also young are the Atlas Mountains, which were formed about 40 million years ago, during the era of the Alpine folding.
