Why do green emblems refer to an intermediate position between kingdoms?

Euglena green is a species of animal organisms. This microorganism has caused some controversy between biologists. Some believed that euglena green is a plant, since they have chloroplasts. Some biologists believed they were bacteria due to their simplicity and small size. But the zoologists were right, who determined that the euglena is a single-celled animal. It is considered intermediate due to the fact that it has the characteristic features of the three kingdoms of the living – plants, bacteria and animals. But in the modern classification, they belong to animals.
