Why has society changed its attitude to war?

At the beginning of the First World War, Russian society was ready to rebuff the Triple Alliance, despite the lost Russo-Japanese War and the recent revolution. But gradually, the positive attitude of many military and residents of the empire declined. They realized that the Russian economy and the defense sphere were unprepared for this war. Many began to condemn the government and demand an end to the war in order to avoid an economic crisis. Some insisted that Russia participate in the war to the end.
