Why in the forests, along with the growth of the number of hares, the number of lynx increases. After a while, the number of both species of animals decreases. Why?

The lynx is a predator.

1) When the number of hares increases, the number of lynxes also increases. This is due to the fact that there are more resources (food), so predators more often give offspring, increasing the population.

2) The high number of animals leads to the spread of diseases between them. In addition, competition for food increases, because of it, both lynxes and hares suffer, the latter are also eaten more.

2) Over time, the number of lynxes and hares begins to decline. This is due to the lack of feed and the spread of diseases.
