Why is it necessary to use mineral resources rationally?

Mineral resources are non-renewable natural resources, that is, their reserves are gradually depleted. In order to rationally use minerals, it is necessary to: reduce mining losses; take a responsible approach to the processing of raw materials in order to prevent the ingress of products into water bodies and soil; to reduce the volume of mining of rock mass and reduce its negative impact on the environment. Failure to do so can cause irreparable harm to the environment and deplete natural resources.
