Why is the modern evolutionary theory called the synthetic theory of evolution?

Darwin’s theory, although it turned out to be correct, still had some inaccuracies. New data obtained with the help of genetics in conjunction with the teachings of Darwin, formed a synthetic theory of evolution. It is called synthetic because it is a synthesis of genetics and Darwinism. The evolution of a living has been fully proven, but there are questions, for example: how exactly evolution proceeded, what genes were involved in this, and so on. This is what the new theory is trying to solve. But do not assume that the word “theory” may not support evolution.
