Why was the appearance of mechanical tissues an essential condition for the emergence of higher plants on land?

Mechanical tissue is a special tissue of plants that helps its parts to keep a certain shape and avoid damage under certain natural conditions. There are algae in the water. They do not have any tissues or organs. The aquatic environment allows this. But on land, the presence of mechanical, conductive, storage and other tissues is a necessary condition. Thus, higher plants appeared, which gradually were able to master the land. They had new fabrics and adaptations, and therefore many types arose.
