| Write the equations for the reactions of potassium hydroxide with a) nitric acid; b) phosphorus (V) oxide; c) a solution of copper nitrate (V)
1.Potassium hydroxide reacts with nitric acid to form potassium nitrate and water.
KOH + HNO3 = KNO3 + H2O.
2. The product of the reaction between potassium hydroxide and phosphorus (V) oxide is potassium phosphate and water.
6KOH + P2O5 = 2 K3PO4 + 3H2O.
(3) The product of the reaction between potassium hydroxide and copper (II) nitrate is potassium nitrate and copper (II) hydroxide.
2KOH + Cu (NO3) 2 = 2KNO3 + Cu (OH) 2 ↓.
